Susie Rayburn holds a BA in Musical Theatre from the University of Tampa. She has performed in over 50 different musicals and plays, worked professionally over the years at venues across the bay area such as The Gorilla Theatre, Busch Gardens, and many private parties and churches. She spent almost 3 years traveling across the US and Europe as a Performer and Director with The Missoula Children’s Theatre. With that company she had the pleasure of working with over 4,000 children by week after week going into each new city and casting over 50 kids and then directing them in a full musical in only 5 days! She realized her passion and gift for teaching and directing and once off the road she spent 5 years teaching HS Chorus, Show Choir, Drama, and Speech, as well as directing and producing two full scale productions each year. She is the State Mainstage Coordinator for Florida State Thespians and also adjudicates students in One Acts and Individual Solo & Duet Musical numbers at various Districts and the State Festival. Susie has taught the Summer Musical Theatre Workshop at Mary Jo’s since 2013 and is thrilled to joining the MJPAA family as a private voice instructor.
