Ronnie Dee has been an “Artist in Residence” as part of the MJPAA staff for 12 years as a voice, piano, and saxophone teacher. He is the proud father of 4 children. A professional vocalist, musician and bandleader, since the age of 14, he has appeared on and composed dozens of albums, national jingle campaigns, an off Broadway play, and an Oscar winning soundtrack. Raised in a musical family, he is a 5th generation musician and his father had two million selling hits in the 1960’s. Ronnie Dee continues to tour the world and brings his vast experience to his teaching method. He has been quoted as saying “I teach people first, not music. Everyone is different so my approach is individually tailored to each student’s needs and goals.” His fun and sometimes unorthodox style of educating has helped his students achieve a wide array of goals, professionally and personally.

Audition preparedness, proper technique, music theory, ear training, overcoming shyness, increasing vocal range, correction of vocal faults, YouTube / Video approaches, performance, recording studio protocol, realistic goal setting and physical awareness are just a small part of his curriculum.

For those with Television, Pop, Broadway, Rock, and RnB aspirations, Ronnie is the instructor for you.
