Garcia began her professional training at the age 9 years old at The Vocational Arts School in Matanzas Cuba, she was Finalist for three consecutive years at The International Ballet Competition of Havana, Cuba where she received awards for her performance. She graduated in Cuba as a professional dancer and ballet teacher in 2010. Garcia danced in Cuba many Grand Pas De Deux like Esmeralda, La Fille Mal Gardee, Don Quixote, Satanella, Diana and Acteon, Flames of Paris and The Slave and The Merchant.
When Garcia arrived in the United State she participated at World Ballet Competition where she won a gold medal. She joined Cincinnati Ballet in 2013 where she danced Swan Lake, Nutcracker and Camelot choreography by Victoria Morgan and Symphony in C by Gorge Balanchine. Garcia joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a soloist in 2015 where she danced in Sleeping Beauty as princess Aurora, Nutcracker Ballet as Sugar Plum, Peasant pas in Giselle Ballet, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Odalisques in Dennis Spaight’s Scheherazade. Garcia has danced as a guest artist with Miami International Ballet Festival in 2012 , World Ballet Competition Gala, Rochester City Ballet, Salt Creek Ballet, New Jersey Civic Youth Ballet, The Art Classical Ballet and Florida Classical Ballet. Milena Garcia is ABT Certified Teacher who has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-primary through level 3 of the ABT National Training Curriculum. Garcia is also a PBT Certified instructor.
